About Edgewood Community Center
Welcome to ECC of Ninety Six, SC,
Edgewood Community Center of Ninety Six opened in March of 2016 by a group called "SCREGG" SOUTH CAROLINA RURAL EDUCATION GRASSROOTS GROUP. We are a 501c3 recognized organization and listed as a public charity with the Secretary of State {id#p19548}. We strive to revitalize our community through educational and recreational opportunities.
We have been operating ever since the spring of 2016 in the community. ECC of 96 is the first of it kind in the area to make a difference in the community of age groups and adults. Our goal is here to enrich the lives of the youth in this area by provide varies activities to keep our youth engaged and out of trouble. We plan to create future leaders that will grow up to be the next leaders in the community.
We believe that it takes a village to raise a child. We care about what happens to your child in this community.

Edgewood Community Center opened in March 2016 with one simple belief- every child in Ninety Six deserves a safe place to grow. What started as a youth sports program has grown into a full community hub serving 3,000+ youth, 10,000+ meals and launching programs that touch every generation. From the basketball court to the dinner table, we have been here for 10 years and we are just getting starte

2016- Edgewood Community Center opens in Ninety Six , SC under SCREGG I 2016- First youth basketball program launched l 2017 Summer Cafe' feeding program began serving kids daily l 2021 National Champions basketball team I 2023- Edgewood 96ers ABA men's basketball team founded I 2024 Edgewood Lady Panthers WABA women's basketball team founded I 2026 Homebase After School Program Launches I 2026 -Over 3,000+ youth served and 10,000+ meals distributed

Our Mission: To serve youth, families, seniors, and community members in the Ninety-Six and Greenwood County through sports, education, wellness, food programs, and leadership development. Our Vision: A community where every child has opportunity, every family has support, and every senior has dignity. A Ninety-Six where nobody is left behind.
